2016 Wideman Prize Competition Info for Students

The Wideman Education Foundation will be hosting its annual Wideman Prize Competition for its seventh year in 2016!

The competition is open for anyone required to complete a project during their post-secondary course work. The emphasis is on project management principles and skills – with a project management “crash class” provided for those who haven’t taken a project management course.  Evaluation, judging and winning the Prize will be based on integrating those principles and skills into the execution of the project.

An application form, competition guidelines, and important dates are available on the WEF website by clicking here.

2014 Wideman Prize Competition

The 2014 Wideman Prize Competition will celebrate the hard work of student teams competing from SFU and UBC for the annual Wideman Prize Award in Project Management Excellence.

The event will kickoff with a welcome address followed by the initial round of judging, where teams will break out into different rooms and present their projects in front of a judges panel, one at a time.

Teams will break for lunch and have the opportunity to hear a special keynote presentation by a project management industry professional.

The day will then continue with round two of judging for the three finalist teams. After the judge’s final deliberations, the winning team will be announced before the end of the day.
