The Wideman Education Foundation is pleased to have Diversified Communications, organizer of the ProjectWorld*BusinessAnalyst World conference, as the official sponsor of the 2016 Wideman Prize Competition!

With the kind support of Diversified Communications, four (4) students participating in the 2016 Widman Prize Competition will have the opportunity to attend one day of the ProjectWorld*Business Analyst World conference in Vancouver, which takes place between October 3 and October 6, 2016.

ProjectWorld*Business Analyst World Vancouver is currently accepting applications for speaker proposals at this year’s conference. The deadline for submissions is on March 11, 2016.

Board of Director Opportunities with WEF

Are you interested in helping to spread your project management knowledge to future generations of project managers and leaders?

WEF is currently looking to fill 2 vacancies on its Board of Directors:

1. Secretary

This position requires more than being present at board meetings.  The Secretary is an important and active link for critical communication; meeting notices, agenda’s, distribution of materials, taking Minutes and being the voice for the organization’s documentation management.  Previous board experience would be an asset.

Commitment: 9-10 hours per month.

2. Director at Large

This Board position is responsible for actively and collaboratively participating in all official board meetings through problem solving and decision making and by offering innovative suggestions that will support WEF’s goal: to teach and develop future project managers.

2016 Wideman Prize Competition – Application Deadline Extended to Jan 23!

We are extremely pleased to announce that the deadline for team applications to participate the 2016 Wideman Prize Competition is being extended to January 23, 2016.

We encourage all teams and interested teams to review the revised competition page by clicking here. The page includes detailed information about next year’s competition, as well as important dates and a link to download the application package interested teams will be required to submit.

2016 Wideman Prize Competition Info for Students

The Wideman Education Foundation will be hosting its annual Wideman Prize Competition for its seventh year in 2016!

The competition is open for anyone required to complete a project during their post-secondary course work. The emphasis is on project management principles and skills – with a project management “crash class” provided for those who haven’t taken a project management course.  Evaluation, judging and winning the Prize will be based on integrating those principles and skills into the execution of the project.
