2017 Wideman Prize Competition

Here’s your chance to gain recognition for your team, have an important achievement for your Resume and compete with other post-secondary institutions – – – and oh yes, add networking and gaining an employability “edge” to the many benefits of participating in this Competition!

This competition is for any post-secondary student teams, consisting of 3-5 members, who have completed a project between September 2016 and March 2017. The emphasis of the competition is on project management principles and skills, with a project management “crash class”, which will introduce all students to the basic principles and language of Project Management as they relate to this Competition. Evaluation, judging and winning the Prize will be based on integrating those principles and skills into the execution of the project.

Our theme for 2017 is “Go Green Vancouver”, and the duration of each project must be a minimum of two months. 

The Competition is comprised of a first, second and final round.

Round One: Digital copy of report judged against outlined criteria

Round Two: Selected teams present in front of a panel of judges

Round Three: Finalists (three) teams compete for the Wideman Prize

CRASH CLASS:        February 11, 2017 at Langara College (9:00am to 12:30pm)

ROUND 1:              March 25th, 2017

ROUND 2 and 3:      April 8th, 2017 at Langara College (9:00am to 1:30pm)
